In this new exhibition of work by Broken Hill Artist Rick Ball, recent works on paper sit alongside works on canvas and a selection of sculptures made over the past 17 years. The artworks on display are imprints of Rick’s time in the environs of Broken Hill. Broken Hill is a multi-cultural city perched on the very edge of the Desert. Even as a younger person, Rick says he felt inundated by the ancientness of everything. This inundation continues today, and can be seen in his art as he plays between conventional and highly unconventional art forms.
