NEXUS: Youth Arts Festival
A celebration of visual arts, music, dance and performance showcasing young creatives from Bankstown and beyond
NEXUS featured young and emerging artists from culturally diverse backgrounds from South West Sydney.
NEXUS is an Immersive, multi-artform event that featured artists and groups that have been nurtured through Bankstown Arts Centre programs.

In the Gallery, audiences can view our latest exhibition Edition Three curated by More Than Reproduction. This group exhibition features emerging women artists from across Sydney, celebrating contemporary printmaking practice and the versatility of print-related media in both focused and cross-disciplinary practices.
In the Theatre, audiences can engage with Juxta Jam, co-produced by Felix Cross and Katrina Douglas. During a club-style event special guest D/VJs – Marlene Cummins and Isaiah Kennedy – will mix live sound and images created by 46 artists to curate new narratives.
In the Courtyard, audiences can chill to the beats of DJ Dovy Dovy , followed by local musicians and culminating in Bankstown Poetry Slam who will regale with spoken word performances; street dance crew Hybrid Formz will astound with their high energy moves; BINDI BOSSES will light up Bankstown with their uniquely feisty blend of Traditional Indian Classical and Folk Dances and Street Dances from around the world.
