We have several Senior Citizen Centres and Community Centres, which offer a range of activities for you to join in. You can even start your own. These centres are also available for community groups and private bookings.

For a list of seniors' groups and activities in our area, visit our Community Directory.

Our aims

  • To encourage maximum community use of the centres;

  • To encourage the provision of activities and services which reflect the diverse needs and interests of older residents;

  • To ensure that centres are accessible for older people with disabilities and older people from a non-English speaking background; and

  • To ensure efficient and effective management of the centres.

Priority is given to local non-profit groups of older residents and groups using the Centres are responsible for their activities and programs.

All centres are well equipped, including a hall, kitchen and meeting rooms. Senior Citizen's Clubs operate at most centres and regular activities include bingo, bowls, dancing and craft. All centres are wheelchair accessible.
