CBCity Youth Week 2023

Youth Week is a week-long celebration organised by young people, for young people, held in communities across the state in early April each year.
The 2023 Youth Week will run from Thursday 20 April-Sunday 30 April and the theme is: Connect. Participate. Celebrate.
CBCity has an exciting program in the works, where you will be able to share your ideas, showcase your talents, take part in competitions and have fun!

Volunteer for Youth Week 2023!
We're calling out for volunteers aged between 12-24 to assist at Battle of the Schools and The Area: World Tour. For more information and to see the full list of events please visit.
The Area: World Tour

A FREE arts festival for all ages. Celebrating young creatives and innovators from Canterbury-Bankstown. Showcasing DJs, live performances, art, food and heaps more! No registration required, simply show up.

Prayer room and sensory space available.
This is a drug and alcohol-free event.

All skill levels welcome.

Street art workshops
Learn about street art and techniques such as can control, lettering, characters and more! You also have opportunity to have your work featured at The Area: World Tour festival.

All skill levels welcome.

  • Who: Young people aged 15-24
  • When: 4, 5 & 6 April, 4-6pm
  • Where: Bankstown Arts Centre
  • Cost: $20 but will receive 50% back (minus fees) if you attend all three workshops
Street art workshops

Then and now community restaurant
We're inviting young people and seniors to come together to share a three-course meal.

Throughout the meal, young people and seniors will have the opportunity to learn more about historic and current trends, share experiences, and take part in games.

3on3 basketball competition
Young people are invited to come and play 3on3 basketball competition. Players can enter as individuals or teams. Prizes and giveaways to be won.

Fishing workshop
Spend a day outdoors where you will learn about fishing rules, how to cast, knot tying, and baiting. You will also enjoy a talk from a local First Nations Elder.

Kickstart your career journey with resume writing, cover letter and mock interview workshops. You will also have the opportunity to meet local services, employers and job providers.

RYC Youth Party 
To celebrate Youth Week, Roundabout Youth Centre is hosting a youth party to celebrate and connect with young people in the community! The night will be filled with yummy food, a DJ, games, activities and much more! Prizes to be won! FREE event!
