​​​About this Hall

The Chester Hill Community Centre is perfect for a range of activities and functions. It is within 15 minutes walking distance from the Chester Hill Train Station. There are three different sized halls; The Blue Hall, the Red Hall and the Yellow Hall. The Blue hall is suitable for large functions whereas the Red and Yellow halls are appropriate for classes and meetings. This facility is located within residential areas, so noise should be kept to a minimum when arriving, using and leaving the premises.

Blue Hall

Suitable for parties, large family gatherings, and exercise classes.

Maximum Capacity: 100 people.

Facilities: A shared foyer and kitchen with fridge, oven, stove, microwave and boiling hot water system. A roller shutter door can be opened onto an outdoor cemented courtyard.

Air-conditioning: Yes

Room equipment: 18 tables and 100 chairs.

Wooden floorboards. Hirers must supply all their own cutlery, plates, glasses and table cloths.

PA system: A basic PA system with a headphone jack that plugs into your device. A microphone outlet. Microphone can be requested with hall hire.

Wi Fi Access: No

Accessibility: Accessible toilets and wheelchair ramp.

Parking: A car park is located adjacent to the hall.

Red Hall

Suitable for classes, meetings and small exercise groups.

Maximum Capacity: 60 people.

Facilities: A shared foyer and kitchen with fridge, oven, stove, microwave and boiling hot water system.

Air-conditioning: Yes and ceiling fans

Room equipment: 10 tables and 60 chairs.

Floor surface is wooden floorboards. White board on wall.

PA system: No

Wi Fi Access: No

Accessibility: Accessible toilets and wheelchair ramp in centre.

Parking: A car park is located adjacent to the hall.

Yellow Meeting Room

Suitable for classes, tuition and small meetings.

  • Maximum Capacity: 20 people.
  • Facilities: A sink area and kettle in corridor.
  • Air-conditioning: Yes
  • Room equipment: 6 tables and 40 chairs.
  • Lino floor surface.
  • PA system: No
  • Wi Fi Access: No
  • Accessibility: Accessible toilets and wheelchair ramp.
  • Parking: A car park is located adjacent to the hall.

Opening Hours

  • Sunday to Thursday: 8am-10pm 
  • Friday and Saturday: 8am–midnight

Community rates

Council provides not-for-profit, incorporated organisations a discounted rate.

Conditions of use

All set up and pack down needs to be completed within the hire times. The hirer must leave the hall clean and tidy as they found it. No amusement devices are permitted inside the hall. Hirers must keep noise to a minimum when arriving, and leaving the premises. Damage to property or an unclean hall will lead to money being deducted from the bond. Entering and exiting the hall outside hire times will incur fines.
