The Libraries are READY
Is your vaccination certificate SET?     
Check in and GO!

Our libraries are open to fully vaccinated customers in accordance with the NSW Government's Public Health Orders. The current restrictions are subject to change and we recommend you visit this page before going to your local library.

Weekend opening and regular weekday hours will start on 20 November-please see our locations and memberships page for more details.

Here are a few things to remember to keep your visit COVIDSafe:

  • Everyone over the age of 16 must be double vaccinated and able to show proof. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult at all times. Children aged from 12 to 16 who are fully vaccinated may enter alone, or if they are unvaccinated, they may enter with a fully vaccinated adult.
  • All customers must check in on arrival using the Service NSW QR code
  • Masks are required inside our libraries 
  • Show your vaccination proof and  QR code check in  to enter
  • Keep a safe distance - the current rules are one person per 2sqm for indoor locations
  • Cashless payments only
  • Practice good hygiene. Please stay home if you are feeling unwell or have flu like symptoms
  • Be kind and have FUN

What you can do in the library

  • Browse and borrow
  • Return items
  • Use our computers, printers and scanners
  • Use free Wi-Fi
  • Study, read or work. (Group work is not currently permitted, unless you are members of the same household.)

Click and Collect

Contact-free Click and Collect is available to all, whether you are vaccinated or not. Choose and reserve titles using our online catalogue or call 9789 9423. You will be notified when your items are ready for pick up.

Using our computers and printers

If you want to reserve a computer, you can book in advance by calling your branch or completing our online contact form. You can make one booking per person per day for one hour. To maintain physical distancing, staff won't be able offer any help with computers, printers and other technology at this stage.
