Join us for a Vietnamese cultural celebration!


We’ll be going Vietnamese in March, April and May this year, with events, exhibitions, movies, crafts and more. Mark your calendar for our Vietnamese cultural concert at the Bryan Brown Theatre on Sunday 27 March from 5-7.30 pm, to celebrate 50 years of Vietnamese culture in Australia.

Our 'Let's Go' series fosters understanding by sharing our unique cultures and celebrating cultural diversity together.

​Photo Exhibition

A picture is worth a thousand words and our photo exhibit has many stories worth sharing. Drop in to see photos borrowed from The Museum of Victoria and other local artists, presenting a powerful kaleidoscope of shared stories of struggle and success taken from the last 50 years of Vietnamese migration to Australia.

Crafts for everyone

Join in our craft sessions and create interesting crafts through paper cutting.  At this session, you will make lanterns and lotus to celebrate the Moon Festival.

Evening Book Club Talk 

Join Vietnamese Australian writers and thinkers in an intergenerational discussion about the acclaimed novel The Mountains Sing by Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai, as well as other literature by Vietnamese writers. The session will be facilitated by writer Sheila Ngoc Pham and feature two special guests, Tu Le and Than Nguyen.

Twilight Adventure

Join us for a family night to remember with games, stories and crafts to celebrate  the annual Moon Festival. We will also be hosting author Ha-Le Thai as a special guest for a meet and greet. Don’t miss out on this themed Twilight Adventure on an evening filled with lanterns, warm lights and laughter. This event is free.

​Cultural Concert

Join us for a special musical evening with charming music reminiscent of the Vietnamese countryside and even its opera halls. See local singers Thanh Xuyen and Vi Chau showcase their talents and witness the beauty and grace of Vietnamese Sydney dancers as they give a traditional performance.  There will also be a display of Vietnamese martial arts, a lion dancing performance and much more.

Fruit and Vegetables Carving Demonstrations

Master the art of fruit carving at Bankstown and Campsie Libraries. Learn about these prized Vietnamese fruit-carving techniques and transform fruits to become too beautiful to eat.
