We take a regional approach to the management of many important community issues, whether it be information, art and culture exchange with our domestic Sister City of Broken Hill in far west NSW, or management of environment and social issues across the Sydney region.

The City of Canterbury Bankstown is a member of the Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (SSROC).

The role of these regional organisations is to undertake projects that cross council boundaries achieving results that will contribute to the sustainability of member councils and their communities.

We are also members of three regionally based catchment groups:

Members of these groups meet on a regular basis and include representatives from local councils, state government agencies and authorities and the community.
