Active Canterbury-Bankstown aims to encourage local residents to participate in and enjoy physical activity. It also facilitates a range of sustainable, quality physical activity opportunities, in partnership with local recreation and leisure organisations.

There are plenty of initiatives across the board, and several initiatives have even become award-winning programs which have since been replicated by other governments across the state of NSW.

Events and activities under the scheme are either free of charge or offered at reduced prices, to enable residents to reap the benefits of physical activity and improved health at an affordable cost.

Active Canterbury-Bankstown is always on the lookout for local recreation and leisure organisations to partner with on events and activities. If you are from an organisation that can assist Active Canterbury Bankstown to promote physical activity to the local residents, then we would love to hear from you.

For more information, please contact Council's Active Lifestyles Officer on 9707 8155.

Outdoor Fitness Activation

Active CB has paired up with the South Western Sydney Local Health District to deliver a combined CBTV video and brochure with helpful tips and instructions on how to correctly use publicly available equipment.
The content has been based specifically off our gym equipment at the Wiley Park Outdoor Gym, but can definitely be transferrable for use at any of our other outdoor gyms!
