The Belmore Town Centre has recently been upgraded to improve safety for pedestrians and motorists.
Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour said the $1.5 million revitalisation is sure to bring more people to the town centre.
“Our focus in all our town centre improvement projects is to further improve accessibility and safety,” Mayor Asfour said.
“It means it’s a win/win for everyone – residents looking to shop local, businesses wanting to attract more customers, and pedestrians and motorists moving or travelling through the area.”
The upgrades included:
Mayor Asfour said the project ensured ensure motorists will now travel at a safe speed and provide even further protection for pedestrians in what is a very highly used area of the town centre.
