Here’s your chance to say No to domestic violence and show your support by playing in the Tug Of War Cup. It’s one of the most popular events in the CBCity calendar; it’s a great way to pull your weight and show your support for the victims of domestic violence.
Registrations are open until November 15 for the Tug O’ War Cup; a fun and physical event that includes teams from across the LGA; from schools, services, local businesses and other organisations. All you need to do is form a team, register and start training!
It’s not all about winning, it’s a great chance to bring people together and make a difference. If more of us took a stand and said NO to domestic violence, then more awareness is created.
Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour said he’s pleased so many people have already signed up to take part in the Tug ‘O War Cup.
“It’s all about spreading the message the message that we need to say NO to domestic violence. We all need to feel safe in our home and, when we’re in a relationship, nobody should be living in fear,” Mayor Asfour says.
The Tug O’ War Cup will be held on Wednesday 23 November. Along with the fun event, you can also enjoy a free barbecue for competitors. There’ll also be food stalls and other activities to enjoy.
Register your team at cb.city/tug-o-war as soon as possible! You can also call 9707 941 or email email@example.com
