We are reimagining the way we manage waste. These changes are the final stage of Council’s realignment of waste services between the former Canterbury and Bankstown local government areas. Council will continue its role in bringing the future of smart collections, recycling and reusing, resource recovery and waste minimisation to all generations across the City.

Changes to our waste services include:

  • New camera technology that will improve garbage truck safety and efficiency;
  • More and new Clean Up trucks that will reduce waiting times and improve fridge and air-con recycling; and
  • Improved on-line and customer service processes to better manage problems like missed or lost bins.
